Victa Primer Cap Suits Victa G4 and LM Carby Carburetor on 2-Stroke Engines. Modified Victa Primer Cap and newly designed metal type float needle. Primer Cap Modifications: a) larger seat hole – to make contact at mid section of the cone tip and not only on the far tip for better sealing. b) chamfered hole – for smother circular contact with the cone tip and not on the sharp edge of the seat hole. c) increased height – original height has been offset plus an increased height to allow other aftermarket float to work. On the video link above, we demonstrated the leak test using the production samples (primer cap, metal type needle and float). With a slight press to the float, the air pressure holds at 10psi. With other products especially the the plastic needle, no matter how hard you press the float, it will slowly drops the set holding air pressure. This mods specially developed to address fuel leaking issues on most Victa 2-Stroke. The Viton Tip Metal Needle has excellent sealing property which has a huge improvement from the original plastic needle. By using this combination, you can even leave the fuel tap open overnight without flooding your carburetor which make it easy to start. When the fuel starts to leaks out from the primer bulb, your carburetor will floods and makes it difficult to start even after replacing with a new plastic needle and float. Note: There is one particular type of aftermarket float we found which doesn’t work with other aftermarket or original primer cap. The float is 2mm shorter than the original float and will hit the seat assembly before it can close the valve which will floods the carburetor. You may have one of this type of float so the primer cap seat height has been increased to the minimum clearance for this type of float to work.
